You can't make a Pokemon lay an egg.There either genderless or not still,legendary Pokemon can't lay any eggs no mater what happens.P.S. only one legendary knows how,and that's Manaphy.

Yes, you can breed Pokemon with ditto. Leave ditto with the other Pokemon in the daycare and eventually you will have an egg of the other ditto. If you wanted an egg of ditto though, I don't know but, I think you can leave two dittos in the daycare. You can not breed legendary Pokemon with ditto.

When a Pokemon is put in the daycare with a ditto there is a 0.7% chance per step that it will get an egg of the Pokemon in with ditto. Legendary Pokemon are much harder to breed because they have a 0.0007% chance per step of laying an egg. Most legendaries do not have genders and therefore cannot breed with each other. Two of the same Pokemon but opposite sexes have a 3% chance per step of getting an egg, legendary or not. Good Luck!
