Nobodies tend not to. It's one of the things that make nobodies unique. The only exceptions would be Roxas (who eventually got them, lost them and then got them again) and xion (who isn't technically a nobody) ... Xemnas has his memories as Xehenort, the apprentice to ansem the wise, but has no memories of his prior life as master xehenort because of his process of absorbing terra to become a new person allowed aqua to lock his heart. ..all other high ranking nobodies have their memories. .lower ranking ones are alluded to having memories, but tend not to converse openly too often.

Why did namine put Sora to sleep?
Namine put Sora to sleep because as he walked into Castle Oblivion (A strange castle that causes visitors to lose their memories) Sora lost his memories. Sora is the keyblade weilder. (the keyblade is a weapon that can entinguish dark creaturs called heartless and create Kingdom Hearts through them)He is needed to protect the worlds from the heartless and Organization Xlll (which are a group of nobodies trying to harness Sora's power to complete Kingdom Hearts to gain hearts of their own)He needs to regain his memories to remember his best friends Kairi and Riku and his goal to save the worlds.To see what happened during the year that Sora was asleep, play Kingdom Hearts 368/2 Days for Nitendo DS and DSi.True, but Sora could have just remembered what happened at the Castle Oblivion--which was created by Aqua on Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep--but he CHOSE to get his old memories back. Sora first goes in to find Riku, but ends up trying to find Namine, a girl he knew in Destiny Islands and fighting people from Organization XIII. Although he does find Riku, Riku's heart has changed. In the end, Sora finds Namine, but Namine traps Sora in a pod, where he sleeps, and then that's where Kingdom Hearts 2 comes in.
