Get underneath your vehicle and look for a wing nut valve on the buttom or side of the radiator, and loosen it.
have you flushed your radiator or changed the thermostat it could be stuck
The cooling system on this vehicle does not use a radiator cap on the radiator but on a remote tank. It may have a different (larger) cap on it than what you are used to seeing on the radiator.
It depends on the type of system you have. 1 pipe in, or 1 pipe in and 1 pipe out. Single pipe in/out, try replacing the relief valve or simply shimming the end of the radiator opposite where the pipe comes in. This lets water bleed out of the radiator and stops the klanging.
I have used radiator stop leak before in my 1996 Olds Achieva SC with the V6. I put it directly into the coolant resovor. It went in fine for me. This did not give me much help though. I would not recommend using stop leak. It will clog your heater core and then you will have more than the radiator as your problem. Fine a new radiator and replace it that is the best advidce i can give you.
Set the heater control to hot. Now start the engine with the radiator cap off. Run the engine until you see no more air bubbles escaping from the radiator. If the engine has bleeder valves on the cooling system use them to remove trapped air.
The thread on cap on your engine coolant reservoir is your pressure cap / radiator cap ( 16 PSI ) on a 1996 Ford Taurus ( all engines )
google it, it should help you. who do you think people who answer this, get there answer from.
Any time you flush out the cooling system you need to bleed the cooling system.
You need to "bleed" the brakes at each wheel. R
The radiator will leak, Its function is to hold water in a way as to cool it for the engine. So if it leaks, its busted.
How do you bleed air from radiator of a 2000 range rover?

99% sure the Taurus radiator will be a perfect match to the Sable's.
The 1999 Ford Taurus does not have a radiator cap. Coolant is added by using the over flow bottle instead of a radiator cap.
On a 1998 Ford Taurus : The thread on cap on the engine coolant reservoir is the pressure cap / radiator cap
On a 1997 Ford Taurus the thread on cap on the engine coolant reservoir is the pressure cap / radiator cap
The 2006 Ford Taurus radiator drain plug is located on the bottom of the radiator. The drain plug can be removed with a half inch ratchet.
