Do it yourself its easy. Put the front of your car on some car ramps, drain the oil, and take the whole pain off, take all the screws out and out comes the pain. Clean it with some kind of cleaner, for example carbuerator cleaner, where the gasket goes, let it dry and install the new gasket.
If you are on a budget and looking for a good Lexus car for a good price I would recommend you go to Lexus Canada for the best deals.Remember that the prices on these cars varies depending on where you purchase them.
If you are loosing coolant, you have a leaking head gasket. If you are loosing oil and have a turbo, the seal on the turbo is bad. either intake manifold gasket or head gasket is leaking
Bad Head Gasket. See a mechanic ASAP..
No you do not, you would put oil on a oil filter gasket if it is a spin on type, this stops the rubber from binding and helps it seal.
My 1997 318i has an external oil leak from the head gasket, I was quoted $1200.00 to $1400.00 if I also have to get the valves done. A little under $1000.00 if not.
You would change the head gasket. You would also have the head checked for cracks and warpage. You would also change the engine oil and filter.
If you needed a gasket and they replaced it then yes you would be charged for the gasket.
A bad gasket would probably leak, and an oil change would be a good opportunity to spot that.
how would you go about changing the spark plugs in a 1999 Lexus ES 300?
i would love the help please
There are several different ones. Low end is pan gasket for less than $100.00 High end is pump gasket for $500 to $1000.00
Most definitely the ideal answer would be YES! The integrity of the bolt is not the same once it has been torqued appropriately
well me being a mechanic an 1994 Lexus there seems that the parts are gonna be harder to find and it has to be in good condition. But if not then you have to buy some pieces and then the deduct from the bad head gasket ill buy for 1,500.
You pull the head off and change the head gasket. There is no treatment for a blow gasket, exept changing it. Its a pretty huge job I would suggest getting it at the garage and get a quote.
See if your rad is plugged
The head gasket itself isn't actually expensive. The labour of taking the head off and back on is the expensive. For example when I did my car it was £60 for the gasket and if I was to go to a garage they would of charged £200 labour.
uh no and no unless your rich
