Drain out engine oil out, replace oil plug at the bottom of engine, pour in same amount of diesel let it stand 10mns, drain it and refill with engine oil.

yes. you can clean your throttle body by taking the intake hose off and having a buddy open the throttle plate for you while you spray it with carb cleaner. sometime you will need a whole bottle to clean it and den wipe it down and keep the plate open until it dries.
You can clean it in hot water with a lot of soap. I do that anyway, after using thinner and it leaves my brushes soft and smooth.
I would try an engine flush to clean the hydraulic lifters. Follow the directions on the can.

No for best results the Carburetor needs to be removed and completely disassembled. This helps in cleaning out the jets and small passages, Recommended to be done by an experienced mechanic in that field.
Use q-tips, a feather duster, or a damp cloth. Otherwise don't be lazy or scared to unscrew the bottom and clean out any dust, dirt, or grime. It's more fun than cleaning a lawn mower.

You can either spray carb cleaner down the tube line that goes to it which is the metal tube next to the throttle plate. Or clean it thoroughly by taking of intake manifold which is a pain, taking AIC valve apart and spraying and cleaning it with carb cleaner!
