Make sure the ground wire to the sending unit is clean and connected and test the power line to make sure it has continuity. These are very simple tests. If they are ok, replace the sending unit.

∙ 16y agoIf it is staying on empty the problem is probably the float. If it is doing something else is probably an electrical problem.
