tdc mark is the longest mark, there should be shorter ones on either side as timing is set a few degrees off tdc, but you need tdc to start the timing process If you have a concern about TDC, and don't know of any other way to find it, try this: Pull the #1 sparkplug, put a long, narrow screwdriver or other clean, narrow device into the hole, then turn the engine BY HAND (don't use the starter) until you see the screwdriver at the top. You should be able to turn the engine back a little to seek the top. At that point there should be a mark and a reference point somewhere on the harmonic balancer. If you can't find a mark, make your own. It's possible that over the history of the engine someone may have removed the reference marker so you may need to do something yourself. Good luck. ** More ** The piston will raise twice, once on the exhaust stroke and again on the compression stroke, TDC is based on the compression stroke so following the above advice, when the narrow device starts to come up, remove it and insert your fingertip to feel pressure building up, when you feel pressure building up, the piston is on compression stroke, remove your finger and continue with narrow device as described.
No, it has an automatic choke.
1987-1989.
There is no ignition module on a 1987 5th ave. The spark control computer is on the air cleaner with a vacuum line hooked to it.
The voltage regulator, on your 1987 Ford Van, is located on the firewall in the engine compartment. The voltage regulator should be on the passenger side of the firewall.
No Sound But a Heart was created in 1987.
There is no such thing as a 1987 Villager, I assume you mean a '97. The water pump is in the center of the engine in front, behind and above the crank pulley. To remove it requires that the crank pulley be removed, which may require special tools.

Where is the location of the fuel pump on a 1987 toyota camry wagon
The 1987 Toyota Camry has a 13.5 gallon fuel tank. There were many complains of fuel leaks and fuel vapors associated with this gas tank.
I just did mine and it sucks pretty bad. Its driven by the timing belt and is right above the crank pulley. You need to remove the power stearing pump and the bolts to the altinator bracket. I jacked the car up and removed the driver front wheel to remove the crank pulley. there is a 10mm bolt just behind the pulley to remove the plastic cover hidind the pump. I faught like hell but it finnaly came out. In my oppinion I will never attempt this again unless i get a couple buddies and a 12pack.
The crank sensor is bad. When the sensor gets hot (i.e. engine is warmed up) the sensor quits. The sensor sends a signal to the ignition control module to tell it to create spark. It is located behind the crank pulley (or harmonic balancer) and requires a special bolts for a pulley puller or entire pulley puller designed for the 3800 engines from 1987 up to 2008.
The fuel pump is located in the tank.
