Depending on the kind of paper and the medium you are using, there are several ways.

The easiest ways are the simplest. Start you work in the upper corner of the side opposite your dominant hand. (left if you are right handed, right if you are left handed) and work diagonally down the paper. This is great if you never go back over things or if your mind works that way, but not everyone is good at this. If you are working back over your work the best thing is to use a bridge. Something that spans the paper without actually touching the paper, so you can rest your hand and or forearm on the bridge. In some cases I have used waxed paper, laid over the drawing, but you need to be very careful NOT to let the waxed paper MOVE, as it too can smear the work.

What are the proper maintenance for drawing tools?

Proper maintenance for drawing tools involves regular cleaning, proper storage, and periodic inspection. For pencils, regularly sharpen them and store them in a protective case to prevent breakage. For ink pens and markers, clean the nibs or tips after use and ensure caps are securely fastened to prevent drying out. Additionally, keep surfaces free of dust and debris to maintain the quality of your tools.

What tool is used in fastening the drawing paper on the drawing board?

A common tool used for fastening drawing paper to a drawing board is tape, typically drafting or masking tape, which allows for easy removal without damaging the paper. Alternatively, drawing boards may also have clips or clamps that secure the paper in place. These methods help keep the paper flat and stable while the artist works.

What is drawing clips?

Drawing clips refer to small, often metal or plastic clips used to hold together or organize sheets of paper, artwork, or other materials while drawing or drafting. They can help maintain the alignment of pages, prevent movement, and keep the workspace tidy. In artistic contexts, drawing clips can also be used to secure paper to boards or easels, facilitating easier drawing or painting.
