Check with your local hazardous waste, or landfill, department. There is probably a place to drop it off to be properly disposed of. In my city, there is a group of volunteers who do this on the first Saturday of the month at no charge.

How do you inspect reloaded ammunition?

You can check to see that the primer is properly seated into the primer pocket, the brass is crimped properly and the overall cartridge length is correct. However, you can't accurately measure the powder charge and that's the most important, and potentially dangerous, component in reloaded ammunition.

What would cause a 39A to not fire I have a gun that will at times not fire when I pull the trigger. There will be a small indent on the primer. Is the pin not hitting the primer hard enough?

Common problem. Firing pin is worn, therefore not as long as it should be to properly concuss primer. Just replace pin.

Is one coat of primer sealer enough to go ahead and paint over stock paint on 91 Chevy?

I would use at least 3 coats of primer sealer. It's not very dense and will waste the whole job if not done properly.

Why won't my Briggs and Stratton 4.5 HP lawn mower engine prime I have removed and cleaned the carb. The primer worked properly before disassembly. Now the bulb won't shoot fuel into the carb.?

The primer bulb probably needs to be replaced unless either one of the fuel hoses leading in and out of the primer bulb bracket is clogged. Be sure you mark how each fuel line goes before you remove the bulb so you can replace them correctly. Hmmm. Thinking more about it: If the primer worked properly before disassembly, chances are you crossed up the fuel lines when re-installing. Try switching them.

Can you paint over a latex high gloss paint with latex primer without sanding first?

You didn't mention whether you were using latex or oil based primer and paint, but generally the point of using primer is so that you can paint over it with any form of wall paint. Just read the label on your primer can to make sure it is compatible. On the other hand, if you wanted to paint the primer over the satin gloss, you need to sand the surface lightly to remove the sheen of the paint and provide a suitable surface for the primer to adhere properly.

What does a trap primer do when it fails?

You know a trap primer has failed or is not working properly if the drain dries out and begins to smell like sewer gas. Sometimes the primer can be adjusted with an Allen wrench to get the water dripping again. Turn the Allen nut counterclockwise until you can see water dripping through the airgap. In my opinion as a journeyman plumber, they are notorious for failing over short periods of time.

What is the best primer?
