If the acrylic painting has been hanging for a long time, try using a cotton swab and some acetone fingernail polish remover. The polish remover should wipe the marker from the paint without lifting the paint. Take your time and use just the tip of the swab and the marker should lift off into the swab.
Dial remove permanent marker because it could remove things that would come off a little bit
if it's in sharpie perment marker......if its perspex or acrylic plastic it'll just rub offf.nail polish remover gets sharpie off quite wellhope this is of some use...x
you wait till the acrylic paint is dry then u use turps to get rid of the clouded varnish :)
Wash it rly well!! (i tried it, with Herbal esscenses and it worked!)
Sharpies are the leading permanent marker brand! if you use Clorox to try to remove it on a dry erase board, it will simply get discolored. Try nail polish remover. Quote. Don't listen to this person. He is wrong you asked what is the most permanent marker. The most permanent would be sharpie. He told you about cleaning that's all wrong. and king size sharpie would do the best job for you:) (spelling edited by girlpolice)

Alcohol works fine anytime I want to remove permanent marker-- poke your finger into a rag and wet with alcohol and begin rubbing the marker ink.

It doesn't. Permanent marker doesn't dissolve in water. Help me with my chemistry question :/
you dont.
wash it
Yes BUT it depends on the material
bleach or hard scrubbing um, try this, put dry erase marker on top of the permanent marker and erase it with a tissue
I would try fingernail polish remover. That will take permanent marker off of almost anything.
Scrub dry over and over.
