The cup holder in the dash of the 1996 Toyota Tacoma is plastic and, therefor, easy bend. If it's pulled out as if to use for holding a can or fast-food cup, the only thing keeping it from coming completely out are the two small protrusions on the back of the thing. So, in order to pull the cup holder completely out you just have to pull and lift up at the same time. Don't be scared, it's a Toyota and that's just how they do things. So, pull out and then pull up on the thing at the same time. It'll come out. Just remember, it's only plastic and will break if you put too much HULK strength into it. Good Luck! Mr. Napora
