The alternator is below pipework and fittings and will take a long time to remove - according to my mechanic. Going to do it myself even though it will take me even longer!

1. Loosen the tension belt. There should be a sticker on the front of the engine area telling you how. 2. Remove the 3 bolts holding the alternator to the engine block. 3. Disconnect electrical wires. 4. Replace the old alternator with the new part. 5. Reconnect electrical wires. 6. Replace 3 bolts. 7. Replace serpentine belt.
Not easy you have to remove radiator and loosen steering pump to get access to it there are 3 bolts holding it on , slacken drive belt first and remember to disconnect the battery lead before you start good luck
unplug batt,undo 2 bolts on alt,remove belt by pushing down on tension pully,jack handle will help pry it off,it`s relly easy.
there should be two major bolts to the alternator one to losse'n up the belts and the other to release the alternator to the mount. loosen the belts first and then remove the belts.. after this it should be easy to replace the alternator

as with any alternator remove the bolts holding it to the engine then it should come off easily of course removing the belt is recommended. then either replace or service the alternator. On older marks an easy way to check the alternator just hold a screwdrivers tip to the rear center of the alternator, if it sticks the alternator works. if it doesn't replace it

You need to remove the serpentine belt and alternator in order to get the crank sensor; one 10mm bolt holds it. It is easy to replace.
disconect batt unplug back of the alternator take hot wire off back of alternator 10 mm wrench un bolt two mounting bolts 15 mm and remove easy job
