How take off alternator on a E300D
they are more expensive to repair than gas vehicles but last twice as long so would you say it is worth it? I think I would. my personal experience I have a 1996 Mercedes E300 diesel with 375K miles on the origonal engine and yes had to have regular mainanence on it but it is still running strong. I have a 1983 Mercedes 300D that has 280K that is still running good, and a 1999 F250 with 183K miles on it that still runs good. the first diesel I bough was the 300D 3 years ago and was so impressed with the better gas milage I sold all my gas cars and trucks and will never go back to gas.
Its under the hood by the drivers side hood hinge.
