My 2001 Jimmy has some kind of intermittent starting problem -- it cranks and cranks and won't start and gets flooded when doing that. I took out a spark plug and it was wet enough to sling drops of gas on the ground. So I propped open the throttle butterfly with the handle of a screwdriver and left it open like that all morning. So after about 6 hours I came back and it started up. Not every cylinder dried up, because I'm sure some cylinders had both valves closed, but enough of them dried out to allow the engine to start. Weather was warm, 80-90 degrees, so your mileage may vary. If this were a cold climate I would probably have pulled out as many spark plugs as I could and dried them out. Spark plugs are a bear to get to though.
Start checking out your engine and transmission mounts. Check the rubber to make sure it isn't torn.
Yes you can but you will have to swap out the wiring harness and the on board computer as well. Otherwise it just won`t start.
Broken engine fan temp sensor.

Look at lower rear of engine
The PCV valve on a 1999 GMC Jimmy is located on top of the engine, on the left side. It connects the valve cover to the intake manifold.
I had exactly the same problem with my 1996 Dodge Intrepid. The fuel pressure regulator was leaking which caused flooding of the engine if the engine were off for the right length of time. Too short and the engine did not have time to flood. Too long and the fuel evaporates and engine is no longer flooded. Just right and the engine is flooded and hard to start.
If your engine light has come on for your 1993 GMC Jimmy, you need to take you car in for service. You should make sure that you have enough oil in your car.
BE CAREFUL! Does the engine crank? ** IF it doesn't, the air intake may have sucked up water and locked the compression cylinders hydrolically. IF it doesn't crank, pull the plugs out and try to crank the engine so that it pumps out the water. Replace the plugs and try to start again.** **IF it does, it just may need to dry out.**

The oil filter on a 1999 GMC Jimmy with a 4.3 liter engine is typically located underneath the vehicle, near the front of the engine. It is usually mounted on the engine block, adjacent to the oil pan. You may need to access it from underneath the vehicle by lifting it with a jack and using jack stands for safety. Be sure to consult the vehicle's manual for specific instructions on locating and replacing the oil filter.

Well, darling, the crankshaft sensor on a 1999 GMC Jimmy is located behind the harmonic balancer at the front of the engine. You'll have to do a little shimmying and shaking to get to it, but it's not rocket science. Just make sure to disconnect the battery before you start poking around under the hood, unless you're looking to give yourself a little shock therapy.
you read the directions!HAHA!
