You first exit the combat through the Escape key and then browse the menu for Trade. Once you open the Trade menu you will find the name of the person that you wish to trade with and he will be notified that you want to trade with him. He will accept the trade and then the both of you will present your items that will be exchanged. Once approved, the trade occurs and it is done.
