science helps us in everyday living because if we didn't know anything about science we wouldn't know how anything worked or how cars, plants, or anything worked. So basiclly if we didn't know science we would know anything
edit: not necessarily, to know anything doesn't have to include a scientific mindset, in fact rather it is ultimately just another way of perceiving reality, though its techniques are more organized through classification and measuring, it mostly deals in describing reality using symbolism (alphabet, equations, etc.), in which case is relative to life, it is not in fact life itself. This in time (describing real objects using symbolism) can cause a distortion on how reality ought to be percieved. example: a tree that we all know, is in fact not a tree, it is just what we call it, to call it a tree automatically disables you from seeing it for what it truly is with all your senses. a long time ago, some civilizations had no barriers between science, philosophy, and religion, they were all once perceived as one single outlook. this can confirm why they all three discuss the same topic yet find ways to argue about it, never coming to a conclusion.
In contrast, you actually can see how things work without the use of science, while it follows some of the same guidlines as science with observing your surroundings, the difference is what your intentions are. are they used to gain control(science) or are you using them for lifes enjoyment (your senses)
