no there is not thousands of light bulbs on a computer screen. Instead there is a projector built in the computer projecting whatever for example Google and then it appears on your screen.

Computer screens don't use light bulbs. Power consumption of the system may be similar, though. In watts, an LCD would be about 15-20. 110 volts divided by 2.5 amps would 44 watts for a CRT.
