There could be several things that will make your 2005 Grand Cherokee Limited overheat even if you just changed your radiator. There may be a head gasket blown.
yes
It is under the housing that the upper radiator hose hooks to on the engine.
Need a special socket. They are located in the exaust manifold(s).
Follow upper radiator hose to the engine, it is under that housing.
4.0L, it is where the upper radiator hose hooks to the engine. 4.7L, it is where the lower radiator hose hooks to the engine.
The thermostat on a 4.7L is under the housing where the lower radiator hose attaches to the engine.
It looks like a small radiator and can be found if you look through your grill, its located on your passanger side infront of your radiator.
No but it will give you alot more room to work and radiator fins are very delicate. If you insist on keeping the radiator in place cut out some thick cardboard and place it over the fins. I would most definitely remove it. I have replace the water pump, radiator, and thermostat in my 98 limited 5.9L
The thermostat is quite easy to locate. It is at the top of the engine at the front. You will see a radiator hose attached to the engine at this location. The thermostat is in the housing it attaches to.
i have a 1992 Cherokee limited on it its under the lower pannel to the right of the streeing wheel
Your best bet is to change out the radiator, because if you remove the radiator and take side off to repair the tube you will not get the radiator to seal up the crimps or to soft to get tight enought to keep it from leaking water ,been there ,done that and ended up with new radiator, radiator barn is good place to get a new one.
