My 1999 Tacoma Prerunner with a 2.7 L engine holds 5 quarts. Just park the vehicle on a level surface. Drain the oil and change the filter. Pour in 4.5 quarts, start the engine and run for 45 seconds. Shut off and wait 45 minutes. Check the level and add until full. You now know what it holds.
