The Quad 4 has alot of head gasket problems. Have the system pressure tested, and or have a block test done to check for exhaust gasses in the cooling system..If the vehicle has overheated recently more likely than not it has a warped head..

Still overheating 1991 escort gt after change radiator thermostat hoses fan switch and coolant Any idea?

You should the head gasket. If you go to Autozone, they have a tool that can check for exhaust gas in the coolant which may tell you if you have blown head gasket. Also, check your oil to see if it is milky or if you are blowing white smoke from the exhaust pipes. HTH

What causes the Coolant to bubble?

A bad head gasket or a cracked head(s).

Coolant leak somewhere on your 1996 Pontiac grand am you have been told by mechanics that the block was cracked or the intake manifold gasket was shot but no coolant in oil and car runs ok ad water?

there wouldn't be any coolant in the oil if your intake manifold gasket is shot. so its the gasket. A cracked block or cylinder head would render the motor unstartable, so that's a lie from the mechanic. Find a different one you can trust.

Why would Truck run hotter than normal?

First, check the coolant level. Next, check the thermostat. Next, if the truck is older, check the radiator to see if it's plugged. If the coolant is rusty or any color other than green (gold for the newer GM coolant) flush the radiator and engine. If all of that hasn't solved the problem: with the engine cold, fill the radiator, then with the radiator cap off, start the engine to see if the coolant is blown out. If you see large amounts of coolant running out before the engine gets hot I'd be suspicious of a head-gasket or cracked head. Note that a small amount of coolant will be pumped out by the water pump but a cracked head or damaged head gasket will cause quite a bit of coolant to be pumped out. If there is any question about the head gasket or cracked head, you can purchase a test strip that will verify the presence of carbon monoxide in the coolant. If you have carbon monoxide in the coolant you DEFINITELY have either a cracked head or a leaky head gasket.

Why would an engine run clean when first started then white smoke progressively get worse?

If you are loosing coolant, you have a leaking head gasket. If you are loosing oil and have a turbo, the seal on the turbo is bad. either intake manifold gasket or head gasket is leaking

Can a head gasket leak without overheating or coolant loss?

It is possible that the gasket could leak between cylinders. The overheating and coolant loss would happen if the gasket was failing around the coolant passages.
