In Pokemon SoulSilver you are stuck in Goldenrod City everyone knows you have to use soak to get rid of the Pokemon like tree but where can you get the hm or TM soak or is there an easier way?

First beat the Gym Leader in Golden Rod, then go to the house next door, talk to the lady, and get the Squirt Bottle. Then use it on the tree.

okay well my memory's bad but this is what I remember, go to the northern part of the underground tunnel in Goldenrod city and talk to the Rocket Grunt that is standing near a door. Talk to him, and he will give you a Team rocket outfit. Go to the radio tower and the Rocket grunt will let you in, until your rival comes and ACTUALLY sticks up for the towns people. (Guys, c'mon, I was Shocked. This guy isn't supposed to care, at all). But he reveals your identity then runs away. Defeat everyone you can get to (Because it's easier that way), until you get to one of the rocket executives who is mimicing the radio tower manager person. He'll give you a key to unlock a door in the southern part of the underground tunnel in Goldenrod City. Beat everyone in there. And also be prepeared because you'll run into your rival again (yay, fuuuun) and I'm pretty sure he'll battle you. If not then my bad. Talk to the REAL manager guy and he'll give you a key to unlock the door in the Radio Tower so you can battle all the other super fun Team rocket Executives. And don't stress they're not very hard, Most of them have 3 Pokemon Max. --- Sorry it's so long ---

That's a very big improvement. In my SoulSilver game, I have only 1 Shiny: The Gyrados at the lake of rage. Don't hesitate if you fainted it because you thought it wasn't special. The Lake of rage Gyrados will always be a shiny, but the only thing is: everyone has it. you catch a Pokemon that can use pickup and you battle a wild Pokemon or a trainer's Pokemon, the chance of your pickup Pokemon having an item is a 10% chance. the higher the level the more better items you get. in Pokemon emerald you are able to find rarecandies easier. you can find better items in emerald. :)

i originally asked this question.i think you have to go through dark cave,to the end in black -thorn city although to do that you need to teach a Pokemon flash.that would just make it easier for you to navigate through it.i can't do it because it is too hard.

Trade it for another Pokemon if you trade it for the same one you have using GTS in Goldenrod using GTS you will get the same Pokemon. But do know that traded Pokemon grow faster and get more exp points at the end of each battle. They are easier to raise than Pokemon you catch.

Go into the Dragon's Den, and surf OR fish with the Super Rod and keep it up and after a while you will find one. It is easier to find a Dratini and just evolve it.
How do you defeat the Blackthorn gym leader in SoulSilver?
Clair uses Dragon-Type Pokemon. Ice and Dragon type moves are super effective, but obviously if you use a Dragon Type Pokemon it will also be weak to her Pokemon's moves-if you level it up to Lv.50 it will be more powerful than her Pokemon so you can KO it easier. If you catch the Red Gyrados (or any Gyrados) level it up until it learns Ice Fang which is super effective. The Kingdra is a tough Pokemon as it is only weak to Dragon Pokemon so you will have to train up a Dragonair to Lv.50 to have the best chance (get a Dratini from the Goldenrod City Game Corner fro 2100 coins IT IS WORTH IT!)

Yes, there are shiny Pokemon in Soul Silver. But there is a very slim chance that you will run into one. But if you do, then catch it, because shiny Pokemon are very rare. Also, try the Masuda Method. If you have a Japanese Pokemon and an English Pokemon, mate them. There's a better chance of getting a shiny Pokemon than 2 English Pokemon. ( Make sure 1 or both of them have evolved. This will make it easier to mate. )
