Meanwhile, Arthur and his sister Morgain's son Mordred, betrays him and in a huge battle, Battle of Camlann, Mordred fatally wounds Arthur, and in turn Arthur kills him. Arthur is then taken on a barge to Avalon, where he died. Some legends say that Arthur is sleeping, and in a time of greatest need will rise again.
