Considering 2012 is not the end of the world, no.
Between New Zealand and Japan it's just a bad start to 2011.
There were a number of earthquakes in Japan in 2012 ranging in magnitudes up to 7.3, but no deaths were reported. World-wide a total of 768 deaths from earthquakes in 2012 were recorded by the USGS Earthquake National Center and none of those from Japan. The last major earthquake from Japan was the magnitude 9.0 quake on March 11, 2011 that killed over 15,000 people in junction with the tsunami that it triggered.
It seems that scientists and doctors are still working out how much people lost their lives in the Japan Tsnami and Earthquake in 2012, on websites people are saying more than 500,000 but there isnt an exact number yet.

Tsunamis and earthquakes generally go together, but in general, the tsunami can be more destructive than the earthquake that causes it. A really big earthquake rattles the ground, and can cause buildings and bridges to collapse, which can be pretty bad, but in a limited area. But if the earthquake causes a major undersea landslide, the movement of the mud on the sea floor can cause a tsunami, and a tsunami wave can cause rising water on every coastline around the ocean. The 2004 9.1 earthquake in Indonesia destroyed some buildings and killed a few dozen people on northern Sumatra. The resulting tsunami killed a half-MILLION people on Sumatra, Thailand, Sri Lanka, India, and places around the Indian Ocean. The 2012 9.3 earthquake off Honshu, Japan didn't kill anybody - but as many as 20,000 people were killed by the tsunami.
There are earthquakes almost everyday in the US. However, most are very minor and are not really noticed. Check the link below for a map of where the most recent earthquakes in the US have occurred.
The next significant earthquake after the March 11, 2011 quake in Japan was a magnitude 8.6 earthquake off the west coast of northern Sumatra on April 11, 2012.
The Tsunami in Japan in 2011 was caused by an earthquake gesitering a magnitude 9.0.

All opinions are different and all beliefs are different, so the proper answer is not known. However, most believe that it did not have anything to do with 2012.
Nope. Don't believe it. Just because there was an earthquake in Japan doesn't mean we'll ALL die.
The Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant in Fukushima Prefecture, Japan, was severely damaged by the earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan in March 2011. It was decommissioned in April 2012 and will not reopen. Its sister plant, Fukushima Daini, was shut down after the earthquake and tsunami, but has since reopened.
There will, no doubt, be an earthquake in 2012 but no one can know when or where it will happen, or how severe it will be.
The last earthquake that occurred in Japan was on the 1st of January 2012 with a magnitude of 6.8 on the Richter Scale. The earthquake you probably heard about happened on the 11th of March 2011 which had a tsunami following it. The magnitude for that was 9.0. This earthquake had four aftershocks which happened on the 11th of March 2011, 7th of April 2011, 11th of April 2011 and the 10th of June 2011. the magnitudes for these were 7.1, 7.1, 7.1 and 7.0.

Yes, you would have been able to receive Genesect in 2012 since the U.S. had t available on Wi-Fi starting on October 7, 2012 but it ended on November 12, 2012. It was also available in Japan in 2012 starting August 11, 2012 and it ended on September 14, 2012.
No. Japan was devastated by a tsunami in 2011 but has not had a significant tsunami since. It is, however, still dealing with the aftermath of the 2011 tsunami.
Well, I heard from this guy who died a couple of years back who predicted a lot of things. For example, he predicted that there was going to be an earthquake in Haiti, that the twin towers are going to fall, that there was going to be a earthquake in Japan, etc. He said that in December 21, 2012, that something is going to happen that will change the world forever.
