Many ancient civilizations believed so. Today, that theory has been proven wrong.

Poseidon is the god fo the sea. His trident, when pounded on the ground, creates a earthquake. Poseidon doesn't earthquake-that doesn't even make sense- but he is the god of earthquakes. Was that your question? I hope so. Tahnk you!
Japan is highly prone to earthquakes. While this was the biggest in recorded history, there have no doubt been bigger in the past and will be bigger ones in the future. Japan's earthquake is easily explained by our knowledge of plate tectonics, with no need to seek such explanations.
No. One of the victims of the earthquake was the Catholic archbishop, and there is no suggestion that he was involved in non-Christian activities. The Cathedral was destroyed, even though it was a symbol of Christianity. The earthquake was a random event, resulting from pressures in a known fault line. It affected all kinds of people regardless of their religious beliefs. In the midst of such suffering, it is hard to make religious capital out of this disaster. In agreement with above but also,It is absurdly and insanely insensitive to use a time of crisis as the Haiti earthquake as a podium to blame the Haitian people for the earthquake, saying that it was God's judgment upon them for their sins, as some religious leaders have attempted to do, and should be deeply ashamed of themselves for saying such a thing. But rather according to scriptures, these things are a result of a general curse upon the whole creation since the fall of man in the garden of Eden, not of a specific judgment upon any sin of, for example, the Haitian people. Gen 3:17 .....cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;Rom 8:22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. These next verses speak of the end time result of this curse, which ties in with other verses concerning the end time. These are the times immediately preceding and up to the return of Christ to this earth, a time of great tribulation. These things are to continue and increase in frequency up until that time when Christ does return.Read: Matthew 24:3-7-Christ answers his disciples of what it will be like right before the end times, and His return, then read:Isa 24:6 Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left. The Bible does teach that there is literally something wrong with the creation as a result of this curse of sin that came into this world both upon man and his resulting fallen nature (ex. murders, rapes, wars etc.), and upon nature (ex. tsunami's, earthquakes, etc.), all not to be corrected until the return of Christ to this earth. However, notice lastly how Christ condemns the line of reasoning used by such people who claim things like the earthquake in Haiti are a direct result of their sins that God is punishing them for: Luke 13:1-5 There were present at that season some that told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things? I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem? I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
What can you infer from this passage: About the year 1727, just at the time that earthquakes were prevalent in New England, and shook many tall sinners down upon their knees, there lived near this place a meager, misery fellow of the name Tom Walker"(291) Inferences: God-ideas strongly influenced society in 1727. Some may not have attended church but they still felt God controlled life. People strongly believed God--not geology--causes and can stop natural events and disasters. In their last minutes, everybody prays for God's intervention and forgiveness! No inferences can be made--yet--about Tom walker except he is a "meager, misery fellow".
With His Love that was revealed in His Son Jesus Christ
Yes, He does speak to sinners because we are all sinners on this world. (not to make you feel bad)

Devil does not punish sinners because he wants everyone to sin. Angels do not punish in the Bible except under God's command because it is God who can punish. It is God's authority and God's alone. Because Jesus died on the cross to forgive our sins and through God's grace, forgiveness and not punishment is what He desires.
yes he could, but why would he, it is where all the sinners go. why would he want sinners in heaven?
Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God was created in 1741.
The Justice of God in the Damnation of Sinners was created in 1734.
The powerful and controversial speech "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God" during the Great Awakening was delivered by the American preacher Jonathan Edwards in 1741. In his sermon, Edwards emphasized the punishment awaiting sinners if they did not repent and turn to God, using vivid and dramatic imagery to evoke fear and conviction among his listeners.
Uzzah died at God's hand for irreverently touching the ark. Earlier, in Moses' time Korah and his family were swallowed by the earth in an earthquake as God's punishment for their rebellion.
No, sinners are not bad to God at all but SINS are bad to God. God loves the sinners. He wants them to repent because he is ready to forgive them and He never remember their sins. John 3:16 says "For God so loved the world that he gave his only son. whoever believes in him shall not perish but will have eternal life". So the problem is not being a sinner, for the bible says all have sinned; but the problem is failing or refusing to believe in God's only son Jesus Christ for forgiveness of sins, assurance of living with God peacefully and eternal life.
Those that believe in God believe that he hears all prayers. In most major religions, God is omnipotent and omniscient, so he would hear the prayers of everyone.
