Yes.
Whilst Australia is less prone to earthquakes than countries which edge the Pacific Rim of Fire, there is still constant tectonic movement far beneath the Earth's crust. Victoria, southern New South Wales and the coastal third of Western Australia, are all particularly prone to seismic activity.

It wasn't hit directly by the earthquake. It did however, experience tremers and a surge from the ocean that destroyed a few things.
Australia does not have many major earthquakes, but it has dozen of minor earthquakes every year which are not felt by the average person because they occur so far underground.Times and places where significant earthquakes have occurred in Australia are few, but they include:An earthquake measuring 7.2 on the Richter scale hit Meeberrie, Western Australia, on 29 April 1941. It left massive cracks in all the walls of Meeberrie homestead. On 14 October 1968, the town of Meckering, Western Australia, was hit by an earthquake which registered 6.9 on the Richter scale. No-one was killed, but an estimated $2.2 million worth of damage was caused, and 17 people injured. On 22 January 1988, three large earthquakes were felt in Tennant Creek, in the Northern Territory. The smallest occurred at 10:06am and registered 6.3 on the Richter Scale, whilst the largest occurred at 9:35pm, registering 6.7.Australia's worst earthquake disaster occurred on 28 December 1989 in Newcastle, NSW, when an earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale hit, causing massive damage and thirteen deaths.

I'd have to say not that much, because since so many have hit there, that means it is not that likely to hit there again, but my guess is probabbly 35%:)
The West Coast of the U.S. (California, Oregon, Washington)

The largest earthquake on record was a magnitude 9.5 on May 22, 1960. of the coast of Chile. The City of Valdivia was worst hit. The earthquake also generated a tsunami that struck portions of Hawaii, Japan, and Australia.
Tokyo did not get hit by the recent earthquake in Japan, however the stress from that earthquake has been moved along the plate bounday and therefore Tokyo is the next target for a major earthquake in Japan.
Sydney is most likely to get hit by a tsunami, because it is the only capital city in Australia which is in a high tsunami risk zone. But don't be worried, Australia is relatively sheltered from earthquakes and tsunamis, so the chance of getting hit by a tsunami is still quite low.
