Well, the normal heartbeat for a normal person is about 70 to 80 beats per minute. So, if yours is above 100, this condition is known as tachycardia and is not normal if you aren't doing any vigorous activity or having any strong feelings.

You can count your heartbeat by counting your pulse at home:

-Use your second and third digits of your right hand and feel the pulse directly above your left hand.

-Count the number of heartbeats per 15 seconds and then multiply the number by 4 to get the answer in beats/minute.

If your heartbeat is above 100 beats per minute and your condition persists I advise you to contact or see your doctor.

This condition may or may not be "bad" but it's better for you to talk to a trained physician because it might occur due to various reasons and I am not yet a doctor to advice you to take any measure.

Hope this helps!

I don't think you can unless you have an existing heart condition. When you exercise your heart beats, but it is good for you; as it pumps the blood around your body.
