My personal opinion is that it is a skill. For some more passionate, it could be called an art, but I think since it is something developed in yourself, it's a skill. Happy Business!
well it depends on how you look at it. Soccer requires performance skill and plain skill, so then wouldn't it be art? Ballet is an art : it requires skill Drama is an art : it requires skill Soccer is an art : it requires skill
It is an art because it takes skill and technique and is a creative outlet.
I feel that is also has something to do with imagination, Art is the bringing of that imagination out and reflecting it in a piece. In my view, imagination is indeed an important life skill or at least the beginning of it, the ability to bring that imagination to life in a piece of art develops that skill.
Any martial art when practiced well can be applied in a fight, the outcome is not based upon the style used but the skill of the practitioner and the opponent. No style is better than another, it is the discipline and skill that make the art effective in defense.
Management is both an art and a science. It is considered as a science because it has an organized body of knowledge which contains certain universal truth. It is called an art because managing requires certain skills which are personal possessions of managers. Science provides the knowledge & art deals with the application of knowledge and skills. A manager to be successful in his profession must acquire the knowledge of science & the art of applying it. Therefore management is a judicious blend of science as well as an art because it proves the principles and the way these principles are applied is a matter of art. Science teaches to 'know' and art teaches to 'do'. E.g. a person cannot become a good singer unless he has knowledge about various ragas & he also applies his personal skill in the art of singing. Same way it is not sufficient for manager to first know the principles but he must also apply them in solving various managerial problems that is why, science and art are not mutually exclusive but they are complementary to each other (like tea and biscuit, bread and butter etc.). The old saying that "Manager are Born" has been rejected in favor of "Managers are Made". It has been aptly remarked that management is the oldest of art and youngest of science. To conclude, we can say that science is the root and art is the fruit.

The word art has many definitions, the most known is the creation of beautiful or significant things. But here's another definition of the word: art - a superior skill that you can learn by study and practice and observation. So technically if you learn how to manage things through study, practice, and observation, then it is by definition an art form.
Obviously managment as an art
