The Visible Paleo-Earth (VPE) project has created some representations of the Earth surface paleo-times to today. It uses paleogeography constructions combined with NASA satellite imagery to generate an interpretation of the global visual appearance of Earth in the last 750 million years, as seen from space.

There is a test version of this available for Google Earth. Revisit the VPE website or click on related link below. See also Google's April Fool's joke in 2008 that showed the theoretical Pangea as the continents may have appeared hundreds of millions of years ago.

Earth's original land mass, called Pangaea, was a supercontinent that existed about 335 million years ago. Pangaea comprised almost all of Earth's landmasses, connected in one large landmass. Over time, Pangaea broke apart due to the movement of tectonic plates, eventually leading to the continents we have today.
