Pontiac firebird won't start

if it cranks but wont start it may be the coil if it doesnt crank check the battery , cables and wires then if no check the starter try squeezing some gas through were the injectors /carb shoot the gas if it starts its your fuel pump well what happend till it didnt start?

OK Finally! My 95 Ford Probe mysteriously would not start. We then checked the resistance on the distributor, it did Not have resistance. ( My Distributor was still under warranty. After putting in a NEW Distributor, it still would NOT start. I then searched this website and found other people had the same problem. (My husband is a mechanic and so is his best friend and they were both stumped).

Next, we replaced the crankshaft sensor, and WHOOPEE it started right up!!! It's very strange that both the Distributor and the Crankshaft Sensor both went bad at the same time?? My husband thinks it is just a coincidence, but I think the Sensor made the Distributor go bad somehow...Only God knows: ) I hope it helps you.

Oh and P.S. my 95 Probe is for sale if you are interested. Its running perfect now. Has new; Brakes, Tires, Distributor, Spark Plugs, Catalytic Converter, Clutch, Re-Upholstered seats, etc.....Was my son's but for discipline reasons, he lost it.
