Does vehicle shift into high gear?

it is true
There might not be something wrong with the gas pedal, but with your knee.
Get out of the vehicle.
Backing off the gas raises the pressure in the cylinders and makes a weak spark fail completely. I'd look at the common stuff, fuel filter, ignition wires, etc.
Gas pedal and brakes
Either your gas pedal is stuck to the floor or you are going downhill.
A car will move when the gas pedal is engaged. You can control the speed of the car by the pressure you put on the gas pedal. The brake pedal will either slow the car down or stop the car entirely.

It could be in need of a serious tune up.
The song is Gas Pedal by Sage the Gemini. A link to the lyrical video is mentioned in the related links below.
Because you have taken you foot of the accelerator (gas) pedal or there is a blockage of the fuel feed or the air intake to the engine.
Don't apply the brakes, take your foot off of the gas pedal and allow the car to slow down by itself until traction is achieved.
If you have a jammed gas pedal, rather than tapping it until it comes loose, try shifting the car into neutral. Slow down and guide the car to a safe place to stop and then turn off the car.
I know that whenever I get gas - I SLOW DOWN!
It is called
