check the ground for the battery, sounds like the car is grounding itself out right away. even if the ground feels like it is attached solid it could still have enough corrosion inside the wire to cause it to ground out.

Where is the starter on a 1993 Ford F-150?

under hood right side, follow the pos.batt.cable to it ____________________________________________ Starter Relay Test Place transmission in Park. Apply parking brake. Check for battery voltage between starter relay battery terminal and ground. Connect jumper wire on starter relay between battery and ignition terminals. If engine does not crank, connect a second jumper wire to starter relay between ground terminal and good ground and repeat test. If engine cranks in step 3, transmission linkage is misadjusted or neutral safety switch is defective. If engine does not crank in step 3, starter relay is defective.

When a car has two batteries how do you know which one is dead?

The only real accurate way to test any battery is to make sure it is fully charged, before testing. I have to assume you have a vehicle with two 12 volt battery's and a 12 volt ignition system? Make sure all connectors have been fully cleaned and checked for a good contact with all electrical components. Disconnect the ground on one battery and you can either load test the other battery..by using the vehicle starter or the headlights, to perform a load test. Then repeat the same test by disconnecting the negative cable on the other battery. Then connect the first one you disconnected. The key being cleanliness, fluid levels, Hydrometer test and load testing, as well as clean tight connections. And of course your charging system on your vehicle should increase to an estimate of 13.7 to 14 volts when charging. Good Luck. Buy a inexpensive volt meter from Discount store.

94 5.8 Ford Bronco won't start without Starting Fluid It will run ok until I cut it off and the same will have to be done again what could cause this?

It could be as simple as a leaking fuel pressure regulator that allows fuel pressure to drop when the engine is turned off, and it's not getting up to pressure when you try to start the engine. Try this: Next time the engine sits for a while and you're ready to start it, turn the key on but don't try to start the engine. Leave the key on for about five seconds then turn it off. Repeat the process, THEN try to start the engine. It might help but then again, if it doesn't you aren't out anything.

Does leaving a battery in a charger after fullt charged damage the battery?

Yes and no. Yes it will damage the life and rechargeability of the battery if its a normal streight through charger. No- if your battery charger has a trinkle charge on it. Trinkle charging is when a battery is fully charged and the charger recognizes this and stops charging and allows the battery to loose some charge and then repeat the process, instead of continuosly shoving power into the battery. Some chargers and most new chargers have this feature built in. And some will say this on the charger itself. But the majority of chargers do not have this feature and you should take the battery off and either let it sit or use the battery until its almost or better yet all the way dead. That is the best way to keep your battery memory fresh and make it last. BIGJ

Can solar lights work in the dark?

Yes, the panels charge batteries that will allow it to work in the dark, until the charge runs out. Yes. They put out light in the dark of night and then they charge up when the Sun comes up. Solar lights collect solar photon energy during the day through their solar panel. This energy is converted into electricity and stored in the rechargeable (usually Ni-Cad) batteries. A photocell sensor detects whether there is sunlight available or not and acts to switch the lights on based on this. The electricity stored in the battery is regulated by a control board and, at night, the charged batteries provide power for the LED light. Once daylight returns, the panels repeat the process of charge.

How do you know if your ipod is fully charged?

At what age can a tennager be charged for stealing?

A teenage can be charged with stealing at any age! Can he be charged as an adult? Perhaps, especially if he is a repeat offender. Juveniles very rarely get charged as an adult for stealing. But the age of 18, still albeit a teenage year, is the magic age-- one in which he becomes an adult, and therefore is charged as an adult for any crime he commits.
