The starter battery and alternator have been tested but now car won't start How do I know if I need to replace the solenoid or the oxygen sensor on a 1991 cadillac deville and how is this done?

The O2 (Oxygen Sensor) has nothing to do with the engine not starting. If it will not start you either have no spark or no fuel. If the engine will not turn over, it is either the starter, battery, connections, ignition switch, or starter solenoid. Some starters have the solenoid built into the starter. Test the battery, and all connections. Remove the starter and have it tested at any auto parts store.

Starter solenoid is not making contact to turn starter motor. Replace starter or solenoid(which is on the starter) !st try the battery posts. look and see if tight and clean... same thing happened to me i tightened it ,and the caddy started right up
