Depends on which 1.6 Diesel you're talking about, the TD (Turbo) or NA (naturally aspirated/non-turbo)?
The 1.6 TD has 68 HP and 98 ft lbs torque
The 1.6 NA has 52 HP and 71 ft lbs torque
If its a Diesel, 3.8 litres with new filter.
Use your choice of brand ;5W30 would be a good choice of weight.
Go to your local battery supplier with Make/ model /year & engine size
you have to find out the piston cyl size to see what size the engine is,, probably a 1600. as for the #s,, just the VW part # 101a, 102a ,right and left case halves,, good luck, God Bless
Same way you do when it's warm. Turn the key. If it's a diesel (would be nice if you said what model and engine) and its starting hard, plug in the block heater for a few minutes before you try to start.
The 60-horsepower VW engine has a torque specification of 115 pounds at 2000 RPMs. The engine will have 130 pounds of torque at 2500 RPMs.

You can bolt a variety of engines into a 1994 VW T4, including the original Volkswagen engines like the 1.9L and 2.5L petrol and diesel engines. Many enthusiasts also opt for upgrades, such as the 2.8L VR6 engine for more power. Additionally, some people have successfully swapped in engines from other VW models, such as the TDI diesel engines for improved fuel efficiency and torque. However, any engine swap requires careful consideration of compatibility and modifications to the vehicle's wiring and mounting.
