To become the first woman to fly around the world
in the 1940's a man found a partial skeleton on a island close to where she was headed. it has long been lost but from his notes its clear it was a woman's skeleton with the same stature as Amelia. also found on the island (more recently) was a woman's shoe, an empty bottle, and some type of music box or something that her co-pilot was known to make. but still, it could have been anyone marooned on that island, but from what i've read i think it was amelia who crash landed there
I believe they are in the process of testing them for that right now. Three tiny fragments of bone were found on the island it is suspected she may have eventually put down her plane on. But the biggest fragment is the size of your little finger joint - they might also be bones form a sea turtle. Watch the news for updates, If they are her bones, that will be a big story.
