If you got a gm foglight kit, than the wire goes into the fuse box under the hood, the pin goes up into the relay. Then the trucks body control module has to be reprogramed for fog lights. This can only be done at a Chevy dealer. It should not be expensive.
It runs from the hot wire on the back of the alternator to the red battery box.
follow the big red wire from battery it goes right to you starter and make sure you disconnect the battery before you go ripping it out, there is no relay on a chevy. it is on the pass. side of the engine on the bottom side.
depends on if its standard or elec.
There should be only two wire connections on the stop light switch. You need to put a constant 12v supply to one side of the switch and the light wire itself to the other side. The switch then needs to be adjusted so that the brake pedal holds the switch in to keep the lights off. When the pedal is depressed the lights will go on. If they stay on all the time, re-adjust the brake switch.
Check for a loose connection Check for a loose fuse in the fuse box Check for an open wire in the brake light circuit

Check your owners manual for a diagram. It should show the location and name of each wire on your Chevy Silverado.
I have a 2000 Silverado with the step-side box. To change the brake lights on mine, I opened the tailgate and found 2 (at least I think it was 2) Phillips head screws that went through the side of the box and into the tail light housing. With the screws out, I rotated the tail light assembly away from the box and disconnected the wire harnesses. The bubs themselves are 1/4 twist to remove.
Buy oem or aftermarket heated mirror and wire them to your rear defrost or create a fused circuit for the mirrors. My 2000 Chevy Silverado LT Ext Cab 4 dr 5.3L 4x4 Z71 has stock heated mirrors.
