Check for a loose connection Check for a loose fuse in the fuse box Check for an open wire in the brake light circuit
the switch is on the left hand side of the transmission about half way back of the transmission. it has two wires that plug into it.
Either the switch was left in the wrong position, or the thing is defective. The dome lights draw enough current to drain the battery overnight.
There should be only two wire connections on the stop light switch. You need to put a constant 12v supply to one side of the switch and the light wire itself to the other side. The switch then needs to be adjusted so that the brake pedal holds the switch in to keep the lights off. When the pedal is depressed the lights will go on. If they stay on all the time, re-adjust the brake switch.
The fog light bulb on a 2004 Chevy cavalier LS sport should come on when the lights are activated. If it doesn't, first check the fuse for the fog lights, then the bulb, and then the switch. One of these things is likely to be the cause of a light not working.
I hav just purchased a 58 Chevy apache and are having the same problem. I did find a site that displays a complete diagraham for the entire ststem includingthe ignition switch. The site is http://www.classicchevytrucks.20m.com/cgi-binwiring.jpg Good luck with the changeover wspringerjr@yahoo.com
Check the bulbs first, then the dimmer switch and wiring.
You may have a blown fuse or a defective brake light switch.
Check the fuse, check the bulbs, then check the brake light switch.
there is a switch either under the shifter or on the side of the trans that activates the lights when you put it in R. It needs adjustment or replacement
i have tail lights but do not have brake lights nor do i have turn signals. i have replaced brake switch and all bulbs
The Oil Pressure Switch is located on the driver's side top rear of the engine on your Chevy Pickup.
change the brake light switch
Assuming you have already checked the bulbs and sockets, next check the fuse, then check the brake light switch, then check the signal switch.
No it does not. Chevy did not use them in that year on there trucks.
NO. it does not.
