bare minimum would be a couple of end wrenches the right size. Sockets and ratchet would be better. Two or three bolts or nuts holding the starter on most vehicles, the positive cable, and the solenoid wire which may just push on, pull off, depending on vehicle
Starter located under seat. Remove Filter Box then unhook cable from battery and hot terminal from starter. Remove two screws from end of starter and pull out, a screwdriver may be needed. You may have to loosen oil steel lines to allow room for starter to come out.
Locate the starter at the rear of the engine on the passenger's side. Unplug the wiring. Remove the bolts that hold the starter. Remove the starter.
Remove and replace the starter.
If its anything like a 93 all you do is disconnect the battery, disconnect and mark for reinstallation the wires at the starter. Remove the two bolts that hold it, and drop it out. Make sure to hold on to any shims that might be there.
