I would guess the Pacific and North American plates.
Italy lies between two plates. To the north the Eurasian and to the south the African. New cracks also pushing in from the East
The Pacific and the North American plate collided and caused an earthquake 129km off the coast of Oshika Peninsula. It was 32km deep and the largest recorded wave was about 24-26m high
The plates that were involve are Eurasian, Philliphen and Pacific plates. Question answered:)
the eurasian plate and the pacific plate
When tectonic plates collide an Earthquake is created.
The Intensity of an earthquake primarily depends on the force the earths plates collide against each other (the heavier plate would go down wards {oceanic plates} and the lighter plates {the Continental plates} go up up wards) , and that vibrations cause a earthquake.
Plates under the ground rub against each other creating friction and therefore raise and crack the surface.
earthquake
usually an earthquake occurs because underneath the earths crust are tectonic plates and when they move occasionlly one will get caught but the outside is still moving and that causes an earthquake
The Tectonic Plates.
When tectonic plates collide an Earthquake is created.
tension
The friction between the plates. When the friction is resolved, an earthquake occurs.
moving of tectonic plates (lithospheric plates)
tectonic plates
tetonic plates in a transform boundary
causes of earthquake
The shifting of plates causes patterns in earthquake activity. Different plates shift in different degrees depending on the friction and temperatures involved.
The earthquake predictions depend on everyday life because the tectonic plates move a few micrometres each day. where two tectonic plates meet is called a convergent boundary and this causes an earthquake but look online and if you live in New Zealand by any chance the likelyhood of an earthquake is reasonably high. Adam.
the disturbment of the earth's tectonic plates causes an earthquake. It basically causes a couple of plates to crash.
