To me, it sounds like a timing belt (chain) needs replaced but are you sure there is no spark? If it just quit on you w/out notice, tunrs over but will not start-you likely have to replace the timing belt. Same thing happened to me- Toyato Tacoma w/about 162k miles on it.
This is the result of of an internal combustion engine.
If you had recorded the engine block numbers from the old engine you could compare with the replacement engine.
Check battery voltage--With engine running it should be 13.8-14.2
Whats wrong when an 86 ford aerostar keeps trying to start after the engine is running?
The 4 cylinder will get 24 city, 34 highway, and 28 combined. The V6 will get 21 city, 34 highway, and 25 combined. I have found that most Accords will beat this mileage if driven correctly.
About 12 city/15 highway with a good running engine.
If the engine stops running when the key is released, then the ignition switch is probably bad. The switch will need to be replaced.
Are you referring to the cubic inches or liters of the engine? Should be a 2.0 unless it is an European model which may be a 1.8.
2.3L Hybird I-4 Engine 36mpg highway 2.3L I-4 Gas Engine 34mpg highway 3.0L V6 Gas Engine 25mpg highway 3.5L V6 Gas Engine 25mpg highway
Around 18 city and 25 highway if the engine is running as it should.
have you had it serviced recently? your computer may be re-learning its idle pattern if any engine management sensors or devices have been replaced recently.
The engine blows. Usually pistons shoot into the engine. In most cases the engine will have to be replaced.
Check the engine thermostat.
did you gap your plugs right!!
It turned out to be the alternator going bad. Replaced alternator. No more growling.
the symptoms you describe sound like a starter problem. replace it and your problems will be through!
Run on, a continuation of running after the switch is turned off, can be caused by hot carbon deposits in the engine continuing to ignite the fuel that flows into the running engine. You can buy products to clean out engine carbon. Sometimes just a good run at highway speeds can cure it. Another possibility is engine timing is set incorrectly.
