With dark oak floors, I would go for a darker color. Like a dark green, dark purple, or a dark blue.
For a lighter oak I'd go with lighter colors. Like a somewhat dark yellow or possibly a tan.
Some paint stores can scan an item and create a paint color that is similar or exactly the same. There are some stores that would need a sample or a piece of the item to create the paint color.
It is the paint, the color is just color and does not change the base paint. Depending on the grade of paint it may not cover as well as it would with color added.
A natural cabinet finish would match a cherry blossom marble floor tile. Any other colors in the tile matched to a choice paint could work as well.
You can rehydrate paint, typically with a paint thinner. However, I do not recommend it. If a paint is rehydrated, there is a color change and even though it may be minimal it is still noticeable if you are doing touch up work, etc. The best thing to do would be to take a paint chip (simply remove it from an existing painted wall/furniture piece) into a local supplier and have them match it.
There is no paint that won't wear off soon in this application. The best you could get would be an epoxy paint, and even that won't last long. -That's why they do floors with tile !

Some good design tips would be to always think about the colors. What is going to be contrast and match. Make sure the colors flow into the next room and make sure if doing floors to try to run floors to the next room. dont put 6 different color floors in your house.
