Dont do it at the end of the year....each time you buy gas for your lawn & garden equipment, always use stabilizer, always, you never know when is going to be the last time you are going to use it for the season, and gas only has a 30 day shelf life...only ! Stabilizer or not, if I don't plan on using gasoline-operated lawn and garden equipment for at least 30 days, I drain the fuel tank and then run the motor until all the gas is gone. The way I see it, no gas = no problem.

∙ 2006-10-04 02:01:33What kind of lawn mower are you changing blades on?
Not on a push mower that has no electric start. On a riding mower, yes there is an ignition key.
I have jumped my lawn mower with the car no problem. Be very carefull if trying. Twice the required voltage can send smoke out of the wiring.
Use an impact air wrench and a socket with some wd-40.You may need to remove the deck if so there are two pins/bolts in the front and to in the rear pull them out slide deck out flip it over and there ya go you can do it with the deck on just jack it up
On the blade spindles, the fittings are just above blades under the mower deck. You'll need to remove the deck and flip it over (careful doing this, heavy and sharp). There are two more on the inside of the front axle, visible when looking at front wheels. These seem to be good mowers if you take reasonable care of them.
