I just had this problem with my son's 1996 Miata this past weekend. After checking the battery to make sure it had a full charge I tried to start it again. Finally, in frustration, I jammed the clutch pedal nearly to the floor, and the engine turned over. All this time I hadn't pushed to clutch pedal in enough to let the car start. This could be your problem too. It's a start, anyway.
There could be many reasons why a 1995 Mazda MX6 is not starting. Some of the reasons could be a bad alternator, starter, battery, or fuel pump.
The issue might be the coil pack isn't allow proper firing on the spark plugs. The second issue could be the fuel pump may not be working.
Check for fuel and spark

Defective ignition switch.
Could be a bad flasher
I have the same problem on my Mitsubishi Eclipse RS 1995. Seems to be a problem in Map sensor. I was also told it might be the ECU
A sensor could be the reason why a 94 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo fails to start. The crank position sensor is often the problem. You can try unplugging the sensor for several minutes and then plugging it back in to see if that fixes the problem.
Most starting problems are checked by starting with ethier fuel, spark, or battery.
without knowing more it sounds like it could be a fuel problem, injector, or ground from engine to frame

This indicates a problem with the transmission. Take it to a professional.
The airbag light in a 1995 262 will come on when there is an airbag circuit problem. The airbag will not work right in the event of a crash unless the problem is fixed.

Is it worse when going up a steep hill? If so it could be a fuel problem. The most likely causes would be a fuel pump starting to go bad or a clogged fuel filter.
Is it difficult to remove an oil pan for a 1995 mazda miata?
I have had a lot of issues with a 1995 Mazda millinia S. The problems I have been having has been O2 sensors, and engine coolant sensors which cause the engine to misfire. If you have a code reader it will show that the problem is a misfire issue. Mine only has the problem after the engine has been at operating temperature and then the problems strike. It is a cheap fix but it worked for me.
