the Nazis regarded gypsies as 'untermenschen' or inferior people. they were disliked because they were not racially german, and they were seen as antisocial and unproductive because of their unsettled lifestyle. in this way they challenged the nazi ideal of national community. in 1939 about a million gypsies lived in Europe, with 30,000 in Germany. by the end of the war, the Nazis had murdered 200,000 of them.

And to answer you question nazi Germany was a terrible time for most of the German population. Jews, Gypsies,gays and the mentally ill were sent to consentration camps, they didnt know that was were they where going but that was where they were sent. They were on long train rides lasting upto 3 days or longer and many died on the way there. Jewish people were forced out of shops and stores they owned and may were taken away and shot. We don't exactly know how many people backed Adolf Hitler as anyone who was protesting against him was killed, many may have said he was great but secretly disagreed with what he was doing. Hitler favoured 'Pure Germans' these were the blonde hair and blue eyes jermans adolf promised people the world new jobs a better life and he succed that's why people followed him becasue he made their lives better, but at a price.
