The Republicans tend to favor less government when dealing with domestic problems, and individual and states' rights. Republicans tend to favor economic laws that regulate as little as possible. They tend to favor ways to help the states and local governments, and allow private charities to help individuals in need instead of federal programs. Republican tend to favor more defense spending and to be against funding for abortions. They favor enforcement of Immigration laws and are against giving voting rights to illegal immigrants. They want to balance the budget and find a way to slowly reduce the national debt.
