The watermark will not be authentic on a fake travelers check, it is usually just printed on one side. They may also have the name of a bank printed in large bold print on the front of the check, and the security line will be slighty crooked sometimes. Most importantly, if you receive them by mail with instructions to wire them overseas then they are definitely fraudulent. Travelers checks should be purchased from a legal banking institution by you the signer. If you ever come into possession of these you should tear them up and/or contact your local police.
