Sounds like the battery or maybe the starter.
I did have the same problem but found that after inserting the key into ignition I deed to wait +/- 3 seconds and I can hear the start relay (on the relay pannel) click in. If I do not hear this relay click in the car just does not start (No spark from the electronic coil to the distributor).
It is either the solenoid or the starter is shot
Bad starter is easy: when you turn the car on provided your battery is good, you will hear a click in the engine compartment, but the car will not start.
Many meanings for that, more info needed to narrow it down.
Don't drive in deep water. It means you got the electronics wet. Once they dry out it will start.
It clicks? What are you talking about clicking? you turn the key to start the car and all it will do is click, click! or when you try to start it it will spin over and then stop and click.! All I can think of if your car battery isn't good enough to start the car and you will get a click or you have a bad starter and it will only click. need more info
Most likely the starter solenoid needs replacement
If you are wondering why this happens, it is completely normal. When you turn your key all the way to start the car, all the warning lights will come on do perform a lamp test. Also, the computer runs a quick test on all the sensors in the car and on all the lights on the dash to make sure everything is operating properly, once you start the car, these lights should all go out. If there are lights remaining lit on your dash, it may mean that your car needs to be serviced, always get warning lights checked if they come on while the car is running. Hope this helps!
I went to start my car. I turn the switch once. All the lights and stereo come on. But when i turn it all the way to start, I get nothing. No sound, no click, no crank, nothing. I tried to Jump it for about 10 minutes with the same result. Need Help Please.. Car is a 94 Ford Probe

There is two options not enough power it the battery or a bad starter
It doesn't mean anything. It's a good thing. Don't worry about it.
It means: All sounds are normal in the starting if the car ( i.e.the click, the winding up sound), but the car never actually starts or keeps running on its own.
click remote start one time
The battery does not have sufficient voltage to start the car when it's cold. Have the battery checked out. If it still goes click click after running the car for a while, have the alternator checked also. A bad battery will not hold a charge and a bad alternator will not recharge the battery, (That is the reason to have the battery checked first). Make sure the connections at the battery are clean and tight.
Assuming you are referring to an Expedition, your vehicle is turning over but will not start? It is possible forthere is no spark from the plugsno fuel is getting to the spark plugsIs the car turning over or is there a click a few times? If you have a click, click, click, then check your starter.
I have a 89 Mazda 626 with a similar problem. Sometimes when I go to start it it won't start. (It does not click like yours does.) All I do is put the car in neutral and turn the key. It starts right up. Maybe this could help you.
