"12 Sunflowers in a Vase" by Vincent Van Gogh features a vibrant arrangement of yellow sunflowers set against a simple, muted background. The flowers are depicted in various stages of bloom, showcasing their textures and rich hues. The vase is painted in earthy tones, adding warmth to the composition. Overall, the painting exudes a sense of vitality and cheerfulness, characteristic of Van Gogh's expressive style.
Like most of Vincent van Gogh's paintings it expressed emotions, and can therefore be called expressionist, although there was no expressionist movement at the time. The Renaissance was 1400s and early 1500s.
Vincent Van Gogh used texture in some of his paintings like for example in The Starry Night.Answer two:Texture and layers is typical of painting in general.
In August of 1888 Vincent van Gogh began a series of paintings with Sunflowers. Vincent Van Gogh (1853 - 1890) was a Dutch post-Impressionist Master whose innovative artwork powerfully influenced modern Expressionism, Fauvism, and early abstraction. Astoundingly prolific, Van Gogh produced all of his work during a 10-year period, at one point, creating 150 paintings and drawings within one year. Painting outdoors, Van Gogh uniquely captured the nighttime nuances of light and shadow, and was also renowned for his paintings of sunflowers and irises. Tormented by mental illness for most of his life, Van Gogh created many of his masterpieces while he was institutionalized. Although Van Gogh only sold one painting during his lifetime, he is now regarded as one of the most profoundly influential artists of the 19th century. http://www.art.com/asp/sp-asp/_/pd--10020646/Vase_of_Flowers_c1887.htm hi i like pie and penuts

There is usually one and the same answer to those questions 'Why did XXX become an artist?' Because they felt they had the talent and the urge. It is as simple as that!
This great painting was made with a brush and oil paint, just like all of his paintings!
He only wanted to paint.
probably...
Like many of the Impressionists and Expressionists he painted 'en plein air' or outdoors at the site he was painting. He worked quickly, and would finish a painting in a day or less.
Of course Like a Child;)
