egr valve used to reduce emmisions. the valve will open at driving speeds to reburn exaust gases. when one fails it will usually be in the open position thus the engine will run rough at Idell.
The 2004 Dodge Durango EGR valve can be found on the firewall in the engine compartment. The EGR valve will be on the passenger side of the firewall.
The EGr valve can be difrent and is in difrent locations on the various engines
Assuming you mean the egr valve, I would make sure that you have the check engine codes cleared. In addition, are you sure that it was truly the egr valve, and not the DPFE sensor monitoring the valve?
EGR valves are usually activated by a vacuum line from a thermal sensor. It could be leaks in the vacuum lines, a failure of the sensor, or a failure of the valve itself. Since the valve is exposed to the heat of the exhaust system, it is prone to jamming from carbon buildup and destruction of the vacuum diaphragm from heat.
Check the EGR valve. It sounds like your EGR valve is staying open. An EGR valve that is open at idle will cause a car to stall. An EGR should be closed at idle and open when you are driving around.
Dpfe sensor is the delta (differential) pressure feedback egr (exhaust gas recirculation) it monitors the pressure on the egr valve to make sure it is working.
Remove the EGR valve from the Corsa. Wash the EGR valve with carburetor cleaner. Make sure that the valve is clean of gunk and let it dry. Reinstall the valve.
The cost of replacing an EGR valve varies with the make, model and location of the car. An EGR valve for a 1996 Lincoln Town Car is about $160.
Test it with a vacuum hand pump.
Realley need to no what your working on and the year.
Blocking off an EGR valve can make the car run rough. The fuel mileage can suffer as well, since the car is designed to have the EGR valve operable.
The EGR valve is located at the front of the h22a4 engine. The EGR valve is right beside of the front of the EGR valve.
Never heard of an EGR pump and need to know what year, make, model, engine and what valve you are looking for.
Yes, the EGR valve, or port EGR
You can bypss the EGR by putting a bolt in the vaccum line going to the EGR valve blocking the EGR solenoid or alot of people make a plate replacing the valve with a plate but it will set the check engine light its better to just fix it.
A sticky or malfunctioning EGR valve could make the engine run poorly but it should start.
It doesn't have an egr valve.
