A junction box, also known as the AV node, is how electrical impulses in the heart are relayed to the ventricles. The ventricles help make the muscle contract and then pump the blood.

Complete heart block is where the electrical impulses from the SA node of the heart cannot reach the ventricles along the normal pathway. Instead the atrial contract from the SA node singles and the ventricles contract from the ventricular cells
Both AV valves, the bicuspid and tricuspid, (separating the ventricles from the atria) prevent blood from flowing back into the atria when the ventricles contract. Both the semilunar valves (separating the arteries from the ventricles) prevent blood from flowing back from the arteries once it has been pumped out of he ventricles, and thus, out of the heart. The difference is that the AV valves are contracted when they are CLOSED, but the semilunar valves are contracted when OPEN. Otherwise, I can't think of another major job besides preventing backflow.

The Bundle of His (Hiss) is a bundle of electrical nodes which allow the ventricles to contract. The bundle is located in the ventricular septum which divides the two ventricles and separates into the Perkinje fibers at the apex of the heart. It is located in the myocardium.
Not really sure what you mean by the base, the ventricles contract from the Apex (which is at the bottom) upwards.
The pulmonary artery and the aorta lead upward and away from the ventricles. Since the ventricles contract from the bottom, blood is more efficiently pushed out of the heart.
