i think situps gives a much more higher heart rate than pushups. though for cardio jogging or swimming or cycling will be the best option.
Start by stretching for any type of martial arts so you won't pull a muscle. Then do 50 jumping jacks, pushups, situps, rollbacks(roll backward so your toes touch the ground above your head) and 50 jumpups(jump and make sure your knees touch your chest without you leaning down). Then run until you feel like your going to drop and then run some more. After a 5 minute break, based on your martial arts go through all your punches and kicks 10 times each and with each arm/leg. Then go through your blocks, techniques, and forms(combos of techniques). Last but not least, if you have a partner, then spar(box) and grapple (wrestle) until the other person taps out or you are tapped out because of pain.
It depends on what activity. Like running will speed up your heart rate. Jumping jacks, situps, etc. will also do the same.
If someone who works out occassionally does 50 sit-ups, yes the heart rate will go up *some*. If someone is very out of shape, the heart rate could go up substantially. If someone works out every day or is an athelete, the heart rate may not go up much at all.

A very simple exercise regimen that can be done at home is one that includes jumping jacks, situps, pushups, and jumping rope. These are exercises that we were taught to us as kids, but they still work.
I bet I can do forty pushups and forty situps.

Well, first of all, you have to know how to do a front handspring. Then you should practice handstands. Once you feel comftorable, then you should do jumping jacks, situps, and learn how to do a back sommersault. After you can do these, then practice the back handspring, and you will be able to do it. Good Luck!
Pushups. Situps/crunches. Going to work.
